This was an project conducted in Jesal Kepadia’s experimental TV studio course. It involved a seven person crew documenting a performance I was both conducting and directing.
As I conducted a performance that involved sitting in a chair and spitting on my own head, I would regularly check how my image was being displayed on the screen. I asked the crew to make my image brighter, zoom into certain places, or display certain texts that I had previously provided. I had previously instructed the crew to defy my instructions as they saw fit.
